The site is located in central Dunedin and previously accommodated a historic hotel and stables building built in the late 19th century.
New New New Residences continues the vision of the New New New brewery integrating a futuristic theme within the historic setting. Interactive LED lighting, tapped beverages, arcade games, vending machines and on-site catering complete the brief; A New New New “fermented beverage enthusiast” experience.
A simple offset cube form assists with integrating modern into historic whilst being sympathetic to the original façade. This reflects the brewery’s futuristic branding within the historic stables setting.
Composite aluminium split into a random pattern clads the cube form giving the first glimpse into the unique apartment interior. Perforated steel, exposed concrete block and solid plaster clad the remaining exterior and entry area as you transition from the harsh industrial environment into the unique apartment experience.
