Downer EDI office building
Green Island, Dunedin
The new Downer EDi building relocates previously fragmented regional management teams into a cohesive modern work environment, adjacent to their core roading and infrastructure maintenance operation.
Attentive use of skylights and glazing together with high thermal insulation create a very comfortable work environment with modest energy requirements. Two differing facades reflect the disparate adjoining land use.
This design won the commercial category of the 2010 ADNZ awards in the Otago region.
